Team

Anmol Madan, PhD - CEO & Data Scientist
Anmol is a recent Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab where he modeled large-scale human behavior data using statistical and pattern recognition methods. Anmol's research has been featured in several academic publications and many popular media articles

Karan Singh - Marketing & Sales
Karan recently earned an MBA from MIT Sloan as part of the dual-degree Harvard-MIT Health Science & Technology program, and a fellowship through the MIT Legatum Center. He is currently taking time off from the Harvard program to run with Ginger.io. Previously, he worked in healthcare informatics, mobile venture capital, and management consulting.

Sai Moturu, PhD - Data Scientist
Sai graduated with a PhD in Computer Science from ASU and recently completed a 2-year stint at the MIT Media Lab as a postdoctoral researcher. Sai's prior research was focused on using machine learning and statistical techniques to gain insights into the ways in which health and wellness are affected by behavioral factors that are significantly driven by the social and contextual environment.

Mobile Stig - Mobile Engineering
"Some say, that he dreams in Dalvik, and that he can charge Lithium-polymer batteries by sternly staring at them." With apologies to the TopGear Stig, our awesome teammate wishes to remain anonymous for now, but has a strong background in mobile engineering and an undergraduate engineering degree.

Arthur Rogers - Strategic Partnerships
Arthur earned a MILR degree in Industrial Relations from Cornell and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard. He is currently completing a MIT graduate program focusing on innovation in the health care industry. He has worked at CFAR (health care consulting), NEHI (health policy thinktank), and Humana, Inc. (health technology innovation group). He is also a health care specialist in the US Army.

Michael Barnett, MD
Resident, Brigham and Women's
Researcher, Harvard Medical School
Michael is currently an internal medicine resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School. Michael is a researcher with Professor Nicholas Christakis at the Harvard School of Public Health studying social networks in health.

Michael Nagle
Cofounder, theSprouts.org and Quantified Self advocate
Michael Nagle is co-founder of sprout, a non-profit whose mission is to make science a cultural activity. His personal research focuses on understanding how technology can help individuals take more agency over their health. He is an organizer of the Quantified Self movement -- running the Boston chapter -- and has also successfully dealt with chronic illness in his own life.

Alex 'Sandy' Pentland, PhD
Senior Professor, MIT Media Lab
Alex "Sandy" Pentland is MIT's Toshiba Professor of Media Arts and Sciences and Director of Human Dynamics Research. Pentland is one of the 30 most cited researchers in computer science worldwide. Newsweek named him one of the 100 Americans most likely to shape the 21st century.

Frank Moss, PhD
Serial Entrepreneur
Former Director of the MIT Media Lab
Frank was CEO of Tivoli Systems, which became IBM's network systems management division, worth several billion dollars. He was also the director of the Media Lab (retired in 2011) and co-founded Infinity Pharmaceuticals, an early-stage cancer-drug discovery company specializing in biologically-selective therapies. He has been honored with the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and as one of Forbes Magazine’s Leaders for Tomorrow.

Bill Warner
Serial Entrepreneur
Bill is founder of Avid Technology, Wildfire Communications, FutureBoston, and Warner Research. Mr. Warner won an Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and an Oscar for its success in transforming the editing process in filmmaking. Bill jumpstarted the TechStars accelerator program in Boston, and is an avid mentor. He is currently working on a book about entrepreneurship, "Intention and Invention," that explores how to optimize the connection between what drives an entrepreneur, and how they go about making inventions that spring from that drive.

Vicki Sato, PhD
Former Bio-Pharma Executive
Vicki is a Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School, and also Professor of the Practice in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, Harvard University. She is a business advisor to Atlas Venture and other enterprises in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Sato retired from Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where she served as President. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors of publicly held companies Bristol Myers Squibb Company, PerkinElmer Corporation, and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals.
